Request a cancellation or transfer (35 days or more before your test date)

You can request to cancel or change your IELTS test if you tell us 35 or more days before your test date.

You must notify us in writing using the instructions on this page. Requests are not accepted by phone, live chat, or verbally. All cancellations/transfers have an $80.00 administrative fee.

You can transfer your IELTS test in the following ways:

• to change the date of your test
• to change the module (Academic/General Training)

You cannot transfer from a computer-based test to a paper-based test. In this situation, you must follow the instructions to cancel your test and rebook a new one.

1. Download the Refund & Transfer Request Form.
2. Complete with Adobe Reader and save to your device. If you do not have access to a computer or Adobe Reader, you can print and scan a copy or fill one out at our office.
3. On page 1 of the form, check the Test Date Transfer box and include a Preferred New Test Date. You can look at available test dates on our website. However, do not book a new test.
4. Complete page 2 of the form to authorize payment for the $80.00 transfer fee. The fee must be paid before we can reschedule your date.
5. Email the form to [email protected] as an attachment.

2. Complete with Adobe Reader and save to your device. If you do not have access to a computer or Adobe Reader, you can print and scan a copy.
3. On page 1 of the form, check the Refund box. You do not need to complete page 2. The fee will be applied to your refund.
