Test Venue Addresses

Check your confirmation email for the name/location of your test venue.

We will also send you a reminder email 2 days before your test which will include your venue address.

When is the IELTS Speaking Test?

You will have a face-to-face interview (11-14 mins) with an IELTS examiner. We will schedule your Speaking interview for you. We will send you an email 2 days before your test confirming the time and date.

Due to large test sizes and limited examiners, we cannot accommodate all candidates on the same day.

Therefore, your Speaking test will be held during one of these sessions:

  • Friday evening (4:00 PM to 8:00 PM)
  • Saturday afternoon (12:30 PM to 7:00 PM)
  • or Sunday (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM)

If you can't attend one of the Speaking time sessions above, you must email our office* immediately and before your test date. We cannot reschedule your Speaking time slot after it has been confirmed.

*IMPORTANT: If you are travelling from out of town, you will automatically receive priority for a same-day Speaking appointment. You do NOT need to email us. For example, if you book a test in Fort St John but live in Grande Prairie, your Speaking will be on Saturday.

What should I wear/bring on the day?

Bring:

  • Your approved ID document (passport or Canadian PR card). It must be a valid, original, physical document. Find out more about accepted ID documents here. Without your ID, you cannot take the test and will not be offered a transfer or refund.
  • Water in a clear, colourless bottle. Remove all labels.
  • If you are 17 years old or younger on test day, bring your Minor Consent Form. This must be signed by a parent or guardian. You don't need this form if you are 18 or older.

You do not need to bring any pencils, paper, or other equipment. We will provide everything you need. However, if you want to, you can bring 2 non-mechanical pencils (at least HB) and an eraser with cardboard removed.

Other things to note:

  • Do not wear perfume/cologne. You may be asked to leave the test if overpowering scents affect other candidates.
  • Leave valuables at home. You can leave belongings like bags and coats outside of the test room. However, please leave anything valuable at home as there may not be a lockable place to put it. We do not accept any responsibility for any lost personal items.
